Why are the Zombies attacking only one person in that video? They ran right by the guy on that van to attack one person. Regardless, it looks quite good so far.

The AI director orders the zombies to focus fire specific people sometimes.   If one person seems to be carrying the group, the director will have the zombies attack them to try and defeat them.  Sometimes they'll also go for stragglers or weak links in the group.

Left 4 dead. No contest at all. Now I'm not saying Resistance doesn't look great but valve (and any game they've bought from other developers/modders) have turned out to be the defining games in FPS genre (half-life 1/2, counter strike, team fortress 1/2, portal etc). Valve quite literally are the best FPS developers in the world.

Ignoring the one thing that matters most: The gameplay.  They are designed to be played with a keyboard, and although it's possible to play them with a gamepad, it's definitely not optimal.  It's gonna suck even more in L4D where you can't turn off friendly fire.  You have to be dead accurate, or you'll be dead.  Or you console gamers can just stick to easy mode.

Anyway, I heard some idiots on the gametrailers forums arguing over this so for anyone that cares, what's your opinion?

Two huge FPS's releases around the same time on competing platforms, both coming from highly revered developers Valve and Insomniac Games. As to why I think the games are completely comparable; just watch the videos:

I know you said that people that say they are different games should go die and all... But how can you base a tatical online multiplayer only title to a Single Player driven game?

I think Resistance 2 is the better game based souly on the fact it has a story AND 60 player multiplayer. Though I think Left 4 Dead is going to be amazing. just, not so amazing if I dont have any friends on, unlike R2.



I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

I'm putting more of an emphasis on co-op. As you know, Resistance 2 has a campaign dedicated towards the 8 player co-op with classes and everything.
