don't own an xbox360/ps3/blu-ray player however.

I just got a 720p a few weeks ago when I bought my PS3. I was thinking about the 1080p, but it was $300 more. The 720 looks fine though. I don't need that many p's.

It does look at lot better, though I do not have my consoles attached to the HDTV in my house, because my parents dont wont them in the living room... Anyway, having played Uncharted on a 52" HDTV, the HD revolution is totally worth it

Went from whatever my 30 inch flat screen was to a 40 inch 1080i/720p Samsung the day I got my 360. Probably paid for the TV twice (credit card), and my balance is still the same!! Sad part is I had the money to but the TV cash, back then! I was a fool (but I love the TV!!).
