The english voices actually have better lypsyncing than the japanese voices. The art style has a very asian look which is probably why some don't like it. How are the cutscenes not as good as FF?
LOL.
Somewhere, deep in the bowels of SquareEnix headquarters is a glass box. Written on that box is a simple message: break glass in case of emergency. Can you guess what's in the box? Damn straight, it's FFVII.
I loved FFVII, but it's true, a remake won't have quite the same magic to it because you know what's going to happen. As much as I loved FFVII: AC, it was good because it was new, it wasn't something that I already knew the outcome of. A remake of FFVII won't have any of the mystery to it, because we all know what's already happened.

Lost Odyssey better that FFVII and FFVIII??LOL whatever dude ....aside from the tech aspects (11 years separate it from FFVII and 10 from FFVIII) both games trounce LO.And its very sad that Sakaguchi couldnt move the battle system one inch ahead of what he did 10 years ago.

That is about the only wat that they will get me to buy a Dog sim.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
FXII is highly mediocre compare to LO.
But yeah, i want that FVII-remake, its the only FF game i dint play, ironic.

Except Final Fantasy never gets average ratings. Plus, If Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey's current sales are indicative of the 360 fanbase's taste in RPGs, then even if it were named FF, it still wouldn't sell that great

I think you're missing sventiga's point. If it had been named Final Fantasy it wouldn't have gotten average ratings. The power of the name alone can boost a game's score several points, just look at FF12.

It's clear to me from that bolded statement that you quit not long after the half way point. There are accessories you find later that let you have more ability slots, and abilities you can link to equip more accessories. Also, if you think Kaim's outfit is atrocious you can't have played many final fantasies either. His is merely par for the course with jrpg.
Final verdict: Lost Odyssey is a great game and any self-respecting jrpg fan needs to play it.

Unlike you i've played all the games mentioned in this post so i know a bit better than you.
Lost Odyssey had an immersive, mature story that really made you feel sympathy for the character.
On the other hand, FFVIII and especially FFVII had really boring stories and nothing worth caring about.
And we saw how good SE made their game by moving the battle system ahead, they got the most hated FF game among FF fans.
Go troll somewhere else please.

Let me start by saying I love FF7, but in no way does it trounce LO. The Eastern mysticism that the plot is based on got very old for me very fast. Yes, I know there is still some of it around in LO, but it takes a back seat to the story whereas in FF7 it was an integral part of the story (become one with the planet and all...) I found the story in LO much more interesting.
As for the battle system, you only prove your ignorance by saying Sakaguchi couldn't move it ahead. LO was designed to have a more classic feel to it and the turn based combat was used to that effect. If you don't like it you don't have to play it, but don't say that deliberate design choices reflect an inability to innovate.

I wish the FF7 remake is made for the PSP, that way it will piss the greatest amount of people.
