Forums - Nintendo - My opinion on the Wireless Nunchuk from Nyko

So I went out about 2 weeks ago and picked this thing up for fear that we would not see them if the lawsuit went through from Nintendo.  I would have to say that it was well worth the money to get this little device.  I do not mind the wire that much with most games, but there are a few where you are making a run-like motion and end up smacking yourself in the face with that wire, especially in boxing or Sonic and Mario olympics.  The other reason that I wanted it was because my son is constantly grabbing the wire during gameplay because he is just tall enough to reach it while I am standing up.

Anyway, I have been playing Okami with it now for 7-8 hours and also have used it with lost winds and Toki Tori.  It responds wonderfully.  The design with the clear buttons for C and Z is beautifully done.  Now I wish my nintendo nunchuk looked this good.  The buttons are solid and the device feels no different than the standard nunchuk.

I only have a few complaints which I think are very minor.  Every now and then it will reconnect or something, but this is rare and take less than a second.  You have to hold down the power button on the nunchuk for 3 secs to turn it off after playing or it will just blink all night.  This is minor, but hey when I am in a hurry to get out of the house it would be nice not to have to do this.  I wish the receiver was about half the size, because it feels slightly awkward with the palm resting against it and I really do not like how it makes the Wiimote look really long. Lastly I think that they need to come up with a rechargeable pack for the unit, I really do not like having to replace batteries again.

Well, these are just my thoughts, so anyone else got this thing and used it?  What do you think of it?

I am old fashion. The standard Nunchuk is fine for me and the wire does not bother me either. until one breaks and a price cut, then I might think about buying one. Till then I am happy with what I have
