The question reamins whether games like God of War III, Uncharted 2, and Team ICO's next game will be out next year or not.  Team ICO's next title should be 2.5 years into development already, and I think a 2.5 year total dev time for God of War III is feasible, given that they made GoWII in 2 years, and the fact that SCEWWS has been working together to improve ps3 tech across the board, so Sony Santa Monica shouldn't have any engine problems (hell, GG mentioned that SSM assisted them with Killzone 2's engine development, so they must have a good grasp of the machine by this point).

Sony recently mentioned that they are now only going to announce titles that are well under way in development (to prevent things like massive delays, and - even worse - cancellations like the Getaway 3 and Eight Days), so given the fact that they are no longer in the horrible position they were in last year, and thus no longer need to announce titles so damn long before release just to make it look the system has ANYTHING to play, I think that any titles they announce now should stay roughly on schedule, aside from those devs that are known for delays (Polyphony Digital, for example).

I have a feeling if God of War III and Uncharted 2 are announced at E3, with a holiday '09 release date (or any '09 release date), that they will hit that release date.  Naughty Dog and Sony Santa Monica, much like Insomniac, are not known for delays.  Team ICO I'm not so sure about.

in 2008 PS3 already has better line up than 360 in my opinion.it already started and will continue ;)

But where you're opinion would once have been considered objective fact, it is now highly debatable.  The Xbox 360 owns the PS3 in RPG's, and at least matches it in shooters (where it already has a sizable advantage from last year) and platformers.

OT:  Since when was Tekken 6 delayed to 2009?

 

 

Whereas yours have always been debatable. There is no denying that you are very pro xbox.

Then again, everything is subjective, including my own opinion.

In either case though, i agree with SpartanFX...

2008 is still the year of the playstation... It's just extended to include next year aswell.. ;)

Also regarding tekken 6 it should still be tba 2008.. think i heard something about a september release which would be great.

That's more like it. Not perfect, but it's not exactly 1 360 game verses 5 PS3 games for best 08 exclusive lineup. Taste still determines it, but comeon bro, it's a tough road to hoe pretending the PS3 has it wrapped up.

2009 release, was pushed up. Very little doubt, however, that AW is gonna own KZ2 hard in the face. Have you ever seen that trailer?

It won't get delayed.  The arcade machines were built using ps3 hardware (Cell + RSX), and all they have to add for the console version is online and XMB integration.

The only reason they didn't release the game yet is so that they could rake in some profits form the arcade version.  I expect a release date for the ps3 version to be announced at E3, or maybe TGS.

Not to mention the arcade version is like a huuge beta where they perfect the game while people play it until they release the final edition of the game on the ps3 :p can't wait btw.
