The FF fans of the SNES didn't like (or the most) the FF games on PS, while PS FF fans didn't liked (or the most) the games on PS2 etc..

 

Everybody hopes for another FF6, FF7, FF4, FFX, or whichever FF they liked the most...

No matter how much you hate a FF game, there will always be the one that you love... and you are dying for to relive...

That's also why SE will always sell 5 million games of each new FF in line

By that logic, I am going to hate FFXIII. I have plenty of faith in FFXIII since the FFX team are making it.

 

 

Amazing story that tugs on the heart strings confirmed?

Who can honestly say that the scene in the Pond inside of Macalania Forest (with Suteki Da Ne playing) and the Ending scene didn't evoke some sort of emotion.

Post-Snes, FFIX is my least favorite FF (not including FFX-2), but it is still great. I think i've said this before, but I didn't find the characters (outside of Vivi) as charasmatic as other games. Also, the card game was a let down compared to Triple Triad. Although, I admire the return to more tradional RPG roots. Lastly, I thought the ending for FFIX was awesome.

I may not be a fanboy for any console,(I do have preferences) but I guess I am a Final Fantasy Fanboy...and damn proud of it.

Ah boy that song was great =p.  I even learned the lyrics.

FFX really had a lot of emotional scenes.  The part at Zanarkand (also the intro) was another one.

Hmm  I never really cared about thos card games, I always preffered the other minigames like the ones with the Chocobo's and the Chocographs.

Lol darkprince, my face was indeed...amazed when i played FF VII and FF VIII, what a load of crap that is.

Also, don't bring NiN to this topic, this has nothing to do with it =P

so far i received 5 friend requests in this thread, i knew i would make friends with this statement. That overrated franchise is just silly, however i will give the first 5 FF a chance, but i doubt i will change my mind much.

Blizzard > Square Enix

why? Blizzard dominate a number of genre's and sub-genre's. They have a more diversified portfolio in the sense that they makes games in more genre's. Critically they're pretty comparable but Blizzard games sell better then SquareEnix games.

However if we're going to talk about WRPG's vs JRPG's at least pick the best WRPG developer Black Isles. Fallout, Planescape, Icewind dale etc. I wish they weren't defunct :(

The reason FF is getting bashed is simply because of it's popularity. Simple as that. Practically all of the haters in here are Nintendo fans, including the OP, and are operating to their own agendas. Such is the way of the internet and one of the main reasons why the best developers ignore message boards. Because to message boards: Console war/platform>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gaming.
