My Sony-only friend gave me so much crap for loving achievements.   Now every time I log into PS3 he's playing Super Stardust HD - for hours a day - trying to collect trophies.

I told him and he didn't believe me.   Anybody else deny the lure of gamerscore until now?  It's like crack.  Just one more hit.....Achievement Unlocked!  (or Trophy Won?  Haven't won any yet, so I don't know what it says. lolz)  I think it'll add a lot to the PS3 experience.

Most of the time, I'll send a "trophy whore" message to people on my list who are mysteriously getting to urge to buy or replay SSHD over a year after its release date. :)

I have like 9 trophies. Now I have trophies and achievements to get.... though I barely have any of either.... They are really addictive

I held off getting super star dust..... it just didn't look that interesting... but i downloaded the demo when i found out trophies where available in it (and so far, only in it). And I got instantly addicted. Now the trophies are a side affect of playing a fun game...

So I'm not sure if trophies keep you playing..... although i guess they might, they certainly did draw me into the game in the first place.

I bought SSHD right after I bought my PS3. I hadn't played it for a LONG time until trophies came around. Whats cool though is that some of the trophies are super-hard to get, so I actually enjoy trying to get better at the game while still being a trophy-whore.
