Forums - Sales - European Charts - w/e June 16th (Forza = -34% drop)

Well I guess I can't proove anything because we don't get the numbers for that region to show this sort of figure, but that's just my understanding of what a big title like Forza 2 should drop for it's second week... pretty good I think which means it might be in the top 3 next week.

Around the Network

Do you understand what kind of drops other major titles have in the US and Japan though? Forza 2 in Japan dropped 65% it's second week, and dropped 53% in the US.

Even Mario Party 8 had a (as far as we can tell) 40% drop in the US.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Forza and WoW increase in the Denmark charts for the week, as no other PS3/360 or Wii games are in the top 20 in Denmark's PC-dominated market.

Holy smokes at WoW. You think Forza has staying power? WoW is still in the top 5 after being out two and a half years. That game is a behemoth T_T

Wonder if it's sold more copies than GTA/GT?

Considering Forza increased in position in Denmark and Ireland, was number one in Finland (the first next-gen game to do that), and had a scant 34% drop, yes, it's headed to big numbers.

A 34% drop in movie terms is monumental when a big blockbuster drops so low. In Japan, most major titles drop 50-60%, even Nintendo titles.
Basically, thats saying that if Forza did 100k its first week, the next week was 66k, which is an insane hold.

If Forza 2 has continued staying power, it should easily rocket past 1m in European sales alone. 2m is almost a sure bet at this point.

As for WoW. It totally implies it's name. It's amazing that an AMERICAN MMO such as WoW can be on the list - heck, Warcraft 3 expansions are on the list!
