Forums - Gaming - Does anyone here actually care about online play or DLC?

for me personally, i don't think care about online play. multi-player is one thing, but online multi-player isn't a big deal to me because online play is only good for certain genres mainly FPS gaming.

I really don't see the point of online play in say an RPG, or Adventure and Action games. It seems like online play is only fun if your objective is to kill people and that only caters to those audience which isn't my thing. Eventually online play isn't going to be as fun anymore if your goal is gonna be the same over and over again which is "boom headshot" or "capture the flag, team wins".

as for DLC, well people like to think just because one game has DLC, and the other doesn't, makes that one the better overall game. GTA4 for example. and that DLC that MS has isn't even coming out till next year and that's almost 10 months after the game was released...by then, no one will care i bet because other top tier games have come out.

No one is going to choose which system to buy for GTA4 just for some DLC, they are going to choose based on their preference of the system itself and price, not which has extra content. Even if Sony was the one with the DLC, the 360 version would still outsell it because of its system price and install base so that DLC didn't do a damn thing.

only for rockband songs

Not really I would say. The only game I play online is RFOM and the only DLC I have some interest in is for SvR09.

DLC I could care less about, unless it was brawl.

DLC not so much, but on occasion it is great. Multiplayer is king though.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Im starting to care more and more for both, Guitar Hero 4 for example.

Well, if I had Broadband and Wi-Fi, I would say "HELL YEAH!".

Kimi wa ne tashika ni ano toki watashi no soba ni ita

Itsudatte itsudatte itsudatte

Sugu yoko de waratteita

Nakushitemo torimodosu kimi wo

I will never leave you

I didn't until brawl released..

A year ago I would say no, but after my experiences with PSN and Xbox live I say yes. It is really fun to play with friends/some people online. I really had a great time with playing Burnout on my PS3 with Dogs Rule and Halo 3 on my X360 with Elge :). And DLC well I downloaded Oblivion DLC this week and damned I am really happy that I did that....Shivering Isles is huge and awesome.

Well...... microsoft knew that Grand theft auto is more well known by the masses as a playstation game, so the DLC was a very good move on microsofts part because theres no doubt it made people think twice about which version to get if they had both consoles....... microsoft were also smart when it came to devil may cry 4, it was obvious that the p3 version would outsell the 360 version due to devil may cry been associated more with sony....but again to make people think twice they made the 360 version £10 cheaper in many outlets in the uk (another strong 360 market area).... microsoft are under no illusions that top selling games that are multiplat but recognised more as sony games are bound to sell better on a sony console, so they are always coming up with ways to make the customer think twice before they buy...... now after this generation GTA is not only considered a sony game its also considered a microsoft game..... as far as microsoft are concerned.... MISSION ACCOMPLISHED........
