Forums - Sales - PC Sales numbers?

Hi All,

I may be being dumber (if that's possible) than normal but I cannot seem to find any sales numbers on PC titles - I am interested in sales for MMO games specifically across the US and Europe.

I have contacted NPD/Charttrack direct but they want a ton of cash for something that is a hobby to me.

Anyone able to enlighten me?

Thanks

Phil

first, Hi and welcome, second, there used to be one or two games that got tracked, I think one was World of Warcraft, but this site is actually only for consoles, eventhough they compete with PCs to a certain level it´s impossible to track their sales, It´s hard enough to track consoles, would be very interesting to see sales of PC games that also are on consoles though

Yo.

1. The site does include some PC games in the world's highest software shipments section, but no MMORPG's (mostly Sims games I think)

2. More dumb. Not dumber.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

^^^ceep your grammer corrections in the "Words or phrases that piss you off" thread, plus I think its ok to say dumber since the movie "Dumb and Dumber"...oh hell now I´m correcting, thats what you get when you are raised by teachers, looks like I´m the dumbest... or is it most dumb ????

Expect the PC numbers in the worldwide charts are off by a long shot (the US don't account for 80% of that market).

??. Dumber is in the dictionary: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/dumber.  That's what I always hear people using.

I don't have a clue about these things either, so I would be interested to know whether in general, PC games sell more than console games?

add me

The short answer is NO. A longer answer is that it depends which game and on which consoles it is released on. But it is still less.
