This is great news. I think the Wii version will sell even better than the other console installments if it's released in a timely manner. PES2008 was released last minute on Wii and still managed to sell over 500k, despite selling over a million on other consoles.

I'm not sure of that, but I hope it sells well and a 4 multiplayer option is included.

Does anyone knows if new gamers enjoyed this game, or only traditional gamers?

Castlevania Judgment FC:     1161 - 3389 - 1512

3DS Friend Code:   3480-2746-6289

Wii Friend Code: 4268-9719-1932-3069

I'm glad its selling at the same time as the others. It should of gotten bigger numbers but most people already had it.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

It's a pretty realistic, technical game. 0-0 matches aren't a surprise, just like in real life, and the controls, even on the Wii, aren't simple. It takes good coordination and a sound understanding of the game.

@Naum/bored4life: The name is Pro Evolution Soccer in the west, so this time there's no need to complain about the use of the word soccer in a thread about a football game.

And I agree with Zucas: Never had a doubt.

No one was "nervous for a bit there", we all knew it would come.

I was mildly disappointed by some aspects of PES 2008 on Wii though, e.g. it didn't look better than PES4 (which was released in 2004) and the new controls don't make much sense in local multiplayer as the opponent can see your next move.

LOL, thanks for the explanation, but I wasn't talking about me

I'm curious to know if, maybe your parents or friends who had never played this kind of games, were able to play it or had trouble with it.

@ Soma, I don't really think this game is for newbies. In fact i think the new controls are harder to use than the old controls.

@ okr, really? I found the wii graphics to look cleaner than my ps2 versions, i think i have 6 & 7.

Strange that this is news, it would be rather news if it doesn't get released on the Wii.

I didn't think you were.

The only people who played the version I rented were gamers, but I don't imagine newbies could really handle it.

I don't have a clue if my parents would be able to play it, but I think PES was always for football fans who prefer the simulation aspect in a football game over the action aspect - or to use a term which is popular these days: it's a "hardcore game". I think the PES Wii version didn't change that (quite the contrary).
