Haha, that pic is so obviously Photoshopped. :p Also, it's old, I've seen it before.

No problem. http://www.uspto.gov/patft/ if you'd like to search for yourself. Or the direct link:
That's just one of them, do a search for Nintendo and remote, you'll find a bunch. PS - they're called patents, copyrights only apply to books, music and art. |
I hate to piss on your parade, but that patent isn't for the Wiimote. It isn't even from Nintendo.
I will not knock it 'till I try it. If they can improve on it or offer better/more interesting games than the Wii I say more power to them. Everyone copies everything in all industries. The goal is to improve the product enough to make people want your product over the original. I really don't understand why people say its a rip off etc. That doesn't mean it can't be fun and/or entertaining, which is what its all about anyway.
Yeah sometimes I eat the malt-o-meal cereal, some of them are actually better than the "real thing"

Meh. As a Wii fan, I'm not worried. This thing doesn't come with the console and the fanbase rejects motion control as undignified, so developers will ignore it.
Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

So you are saying that the wii is nothing else than the waggle? |
You seem to have some trouble with reading comprehension.

Search for Nintendo and Wii and there are three for a game controller

I'm really not sure that anything like this would be a good move for MS. Right now Wii is so strong/known for this feature that I think MS will simply come off as the poor man's Wii.
I imagine a tearful 7 year old bawling 'But I wanted the Wii and Mario!' if given a 360.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
Total Bull Poop!!

Dated Feb/2008
Consumers seem enchanted by the Nintendo Wii's motion-controlled remote, buying more than one million units of Wii hardware last December alone, according to market research firm NPD Group. A Boston-based company, Motus Corporation, hopes to take advantage of the Wii's popularity through a new product: the Motus Darwin , which allows motion-based control on non-Nintendo game systems, including the PC.
Motus is not the first company to compete with the Wii; the Sixaxis controller for the PlayStation 3 also provides motion-based control, for example. But Motus chairman Satayan Mahajan says the Darwin, expected to retail for $79-$99, allows a more realistic game play experience than is currently available.
LOOKS LIKE THE SAME THING TO ME

Really? Well go ahead and enlighten me. He says that the remote sucks balls and is a rip-off. Then he says that "fanboys" said that wii is a fad.. and now ms is the same. Why is it the same? Because of mote? What do you do with the mote? Waggle.
