Forums - Gaming - hd tv problem, can anyone help?

My hdtv (a samsung 40" lcd 1080i) has started buzzing from the back really loudly. The noise seems to be coming from where you plug in the mains cable and it's really loud and noticable when i'm watching tv at night or during game loading screens. Unfrotunately my warranty has run out and i'm worried my tv's heading to the knackers yard. Anyone got any ideas????



nintendo and sega fan since i was old enough to hold a game controller.

note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)

looks like broken component. Might want to contact Samsung for it, even if you don't have a warranty. Don't even think of fixing it yourself.

Days like this I wish I bought extended warranty for my TV, but then again, I will never pay 200+ extra for it. lol

happened to my old HDTV in my room, minus the not under warranty part. It's the plug. Faulty connectors. Hard to fix and if not done properly could start a fire.

Suggestion, pay Samsung the money to fix it or buy a new one.

yeah i'm defo gonna contact them tomorrow morning but i'm sitting here watching some crappy steve martin film and it's buzzing like crazy i'm paranoid it's gonna blow up, lol. It sux, i had extended warranty that ran out not too long ago aswell.

let's be fair... if they charge you 500 bucks for it. Go down to your local store and buy another TV.

 

sell yours online for 200 bucks (if that)... it wouldn't be too bad a deal. ;)
