Forums - Sony - Blockbuster to favor Blu-ray over HD DVD

i do sorta agree with Quantum-Tarantino its not just sony's baby but i dont think its a problem having it in the sony section...being that they are the major one backing the format...

I do think the format war is going the Blu Ray way. The PS3 is helping a lot in the format war.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Good news for Sony

What's with all this Christmas propaganda now? What happened to March, April, June, August...I'm just curious.

Even with Blu-Ray as the only HD disc, most people are still going to buy DVDs.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

very true, but its all about progression and one format is the start (not saying this is the end of the war just saying its only going to help)

No, SONY did not create the "Vast Majority" of it.

The "Blu-ray Disc Association" was founded in 2002 by nine leading electronic companies: Matsushita, Pioneer, Philips, Thomson, LG Electronics, Hitachi, Sharp, Samsung and Sony

And where does that say that each and every company contributed to the creation of the format's technology? Unless I see an itemized list, Sony created the actual format.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Blockbuster won't even rent DS games those bastards.

Good for Sony I guess. Blockbuster on the other hand is terrible. Very deep in debt and has lost 80% of it's value over the last five years and is still losing money.
