Forums - Sony - Sony doesn't think rumble is last-gen anymore

For me, the only game where rumble actually added to the gameplay was MGS3.
Everything else was just extras.

I am glad there's a Sixaxis available without it, I greatly dislike the vibration implementation in many games. While firing a gun it does add to the experience for me, but when hit it often a distraction or when dying pretty unrealistic. IMO rumble was overused IMO to unrealistic and distracting proportions for many games. I don't want my mouse to shake on my PC
You realize there was a button right on the PS2 controller to turn rumble off. Having it as an option is better than not having it. Youre just making excuses for Sony screwing over its customers, trying buy time to pilfer Immersions IP.

No, there was not.

sure there was.  you just had to highlight it in the menu first.  point being, you could turn rumble off IF YOU WANTED.

I actually like how lightweight the SIXAXIS feels. I'll still use it when the new controllers come out, except for a few games such as MGS4.

I think that SONY should release a four-player game (like LittleBigPlanet) when these new controllers start getting sold. They'd sell a lot more of them then.

umm... an option is not a button.... button is a round or square opject found on remote like object or anything else that needs a button that can be pressed. Down normally means on. Up normally off. There was not such button anywhere on the remote to shut off the rumble.

What the CRAP are you talking about?!?!

Was it a button on the controller, or an option in each individual game menu?

People will work more to get rumble controllers!

Heh, glad to see they're back - I enjoy rumble while playing GT2 on my bro's PS1

Oh course the Sony fans don't care about rumble, Sony told them it was last gen. Are you questioning Sony?
