Looks like the generic bunch of teens out to save the world.... boring.

We don't even know if this is 'save the world' yet and you are still judging it.

Umm...pretty much every Tales (and most JRPGs) are save the world...this will be no different :P Not that that's bad.

Who are writing the stories for these JRPGs? Do Japanese gamers even care about stories in their RPGs? Can't they write a JRPG story that isn't save the world? I try to like JRPGs as best as I can but it is hard when 90% of them have generic stories.

Meh...I don't really care and judging from sales not many people care either.

The only recent JRPGs that don't have a save the world storyline are...Fragile and TWEWY.

Basically, if you're stale on the save the world business, JRPGs are not for you.

I didn't say that save the world plots are bad.  I just said that developers should try something different more often in terms of story.  There are JRPGs that have good stories even though they are the typical save the world plots i.e Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy X

I would be super excited for this game if I had a 360. I just hope the 360 owners give it the love it deserves. Symphonia was an amazing game and this looks like it could be up there.

Currently playing: Okami (Wii), The World Ends With You (DS), and Shenmue (Dreamcast)

This game is for teh kiddies anime nerds who live in they're mom's basements.

Looks interesting. Why is the style so different from other Tales games? Variety is nice though.

If you're sick of save the world, then I recommend this game: http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/games/d/doaextreme2/

They are going for a more mature and complex story for this time

Uh...no. This looks like any other Tales in terms of mechanics and such. The style was just used to show off the 360's power... :3 And all Tales stories are pretty complex.

If you want a "mature" storyline then you should get ToS2 because that's said to have the darkest story in the Tales series.

Didn't Namco say that ToV would explore complex themes?  ToS2's story is dark?  Where did you heard about that?

Looks sweet.

Well, let's see...

Yuri is 21, Estelle is 18, Flynn is 21, Judith is 19, and Raven is 35. The only teen is Rita who is 15 and then we have a pre-teen (Karol) who is 12. 5/7 characters aren't teens.

So much for that argument.

I'm not agreeing whit him but 18 and 19 is still considered teen. Since you have eighteen nineteen.
