I have played a bunch of the final fantasy games so I am confused on why they are releasing two of them so close to each other.

Is one suppose to be more violent? does it have a story connected to 13?  does anyone know what it is about?

ITs and action rpg(real time battles, with more elements from action games), spinoff of FFXIII, I'm assuming of course if its a spinoff of FFXIII the setting will be the same. I don't know about the story though. Wait until after E3. ITs only a week away.

To the best of my knowledge, it's merely a spin-off to FFXIII made by the kingdom hearts team.

vs. xiii is nomura's take on a final fantasy game. it's going to have a kh style battle system, and it's going to have a dark feel to it.

Does FF still use the regular FF battle system of old? I figured it was about time they go with an action battle sequence like Tales of Symphonia and the like.

FFXII used a horrible mmo type real time battle system, and XIII seems to be more of an action rpg. Oh how I wish they would make an FF game series that was turnbased.

ffv13 is a kingdom hearts type of action rpg, spin off of ff13.
