The story was only there to give you reasons to go into the different galaxies

The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. Continuity, sense, chronology, emotional impact and any form of interesting aspects of that game's story was completely absent. Pretty awful game, too. The sequel is also amazingly crap. You'd think the developers would've learned from their mistake, huh?

Mario galaxy was really stupid, the pop-up book and all... i know it's not famous by the story but then why try to put one?

What coincidence! I felt exactly the same! Apart from the fact that the story was meaningless the game was good though.

I have a feeling I've played some games with really horrible storylines, I just cannot remember any of them at the moment.

MGS4 had a great story.  People who think MGS4 had a bad story are not very patient.

I'd wager most people hating on MGS here are the same adolecents who boo at the idea of reading poetry and fine literature in school, who would fall asleep at the Luvre and cannot read Neitzche or Kant without stuttering, immediately dismissing it all as "stupid".

I greatly enjoy museums actually (it's the Louvre by the way) and I consider myself prett well read. But MGS4's story tie-in was just so ridiculous... at some point I merely thought: Wow... Kojima is probably merely trying to up the crazy every following cutscene...

As for retarded story's... Donkey, how many times does it take for you to install a frigging alarm system on you're banana hoard?

Same here, I couldn't finish that game. I even gave it a second, third, etc... chance, but it just wasn't gonna happen.

The Gran Turismo series, why am I compelled to drive all of these cars in endless race after race. Tell me what is the point?
