I think it is almost a certainty that someone will make an offer for this site. We just have to hope it isn't large enough that ioi decides to sell.

It would be sad, I'd miss all the fun forum antics and shennanigans if vgChartz got taken over.  I'm sure an overly sensitive owner wouldn't let us get away with half the fun stuff we currently do on the forums.  ^_^

Like all of these sites these days: the longer you hold onto it, the more it will be worth.

If someone does happen, I doubt it will happen for a good 4-5 years (at least).

If the site was making enough ongoing money (advertising) to keep me happy - I'd just keep it indefinitely, or until I got bored of it.
