Forums - Sales - Wii software WW > 360 software WW. Microsoft: "Wii doesn't sell software"

By "inferior", I mean in the gamer's opinion.

If there is anything I've learned from playing Halo 3 and Metroid Prime 3 (I own both), it's that I'd rather have Metroid Prime 3 graphics and control than Halo 3 graphics and control (auto aim, lol) any day of the week. I also prefer the fact that Metroid Prime 3 has a solid framerate (60fps) whereas Halo 3's may be 30 most of the time. Maybe. It's definitely too low, though -- I noticed it a lot when playing with high sensitivity.

So if CoD 5 Wii vs CoD 5 360 is like Metroid Prime 3 vs Halo 3, I'd take the Wii version 10 times out of 10, any day of the week. The 360 isn't exactly capable of top-notch graphics anyhow -- if I'm playing console games I obviously don't consider graphics my most important point.

Are there any PS3 or X360 owners who will buy Wii Play if it is available (without a controller)?

I have a 360 and I'd buy Wii play without a controller. But I don't need another controller so I don't have a Wii play. I guess I should ebay it -- it's very fun for the price.

Depends on the price. If there was some sort of quasi-game, showcasing a particular systems strengths for well under $20, it would do well, I think - heck, GT5p is $40, right?

Package a few XBLA/PSN games with a controller and see how it would sell - you'd see 10m sales easily, I think.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

It goes for $50 with a $40 controller. So the game alone would cost about $10, and thus easily falls into your given price range.

As for the Wii selling more SW. Yeah, more Nintendo software, a third party comparison would yeild quite different results. Shovelware and casual games sell but decent, hardcore, third party games sell on the Xbox and PS3.

Progression of detractors' arguments against the Wii since 2005, and my own personal conjecture on what happens after this point is struck down eventually:

Wii will be crushed by PS3/360 -> Wii is just a fad -> Wii can't sell games -> Wii can't sell third party games -> Wii can't sell hardcore third party games -> Wii can't sell *the right* hardcore third party games -> [end of line argument]*

*=End of line arguments are soft arguments that can't be disproven, because they are purely opinionated, eg "the Wii isn't a real gaming system", "the Wii doesn't matter in my house, and that's all that matters"

Super World Cup Fighter II: Championship 2010 Edition

Who cares...it's PR...is MS hurting for money...last time I check, their Market Cap was one of the largest, and nintendo was less than half of that. People hold a PR spin as gospel to spend time like they work for an individual company.

If cod 5 is released on pc it'll be the best version. That is indisputable as it'll have great controls and great graphics.

Back on topic. I think due to the scarcity of the data the 360 is probably still ahead however the wii will easily surpass the 360 software sales WW this year and never look back.

funny that people are saying that wii play never gets played when the stats show that wii play is one of the most played games on the wii.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X
