Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Telltale games, either Sam and Max or the new Homestarrunner games. You can get both on the PC or the Wii.

Sam and Max is coming to the Wii in August:

I recommend the Broken Sword series or The Longest Journey.

They packaged the first season, actually. You can try to find it at retail (I've seen a few) or just order it off of them.

They're a real treat, I assure you.

It is never too late to play old Lucasarts games. The first 3 Monkey Island, Full Throttle, Day of Tentacle, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

I'm playing The Curse of Monkey Island right now for the second time (bought it in 1997) and I recommend it.

The voice acting, humor and cartoony graphics are all very good.

If you backtrack and find a copy of Gabriel Knight 2: Beast Within, its a real good point and click, and is compatible through XP.

I've been wanting to get into this genre again... but there haven't been any big budget releases in a while though.
