Funny how all the people with XBL sigs are saying it's not coming to the PS3, when no one has a clue.

I really don't care, as regardless of where it goes, I will get the PC version, I just find it strange that people will state total guesses as fact.

??? we don't have a clue, so you are saying that havingg a exclusive contract in hand is not a clue? it's a question of basic contractual law..... even if EA wants to make it multi, if bioware signed a contract prior to its aquisition by EA, EA has to honnor it no matter what, the only way would be to cancel the contract and/or redo one and for that they'd need MS concent... I don't see what is hard to understand in that ????

I couldn't care less if it goes multi, it's just stupid to assume EA will breach a contract over profitability when in the first place i doubt that ME 2 on PS 3 would be profitable as it would need an installment of the first one first and is already profitable like that on one console.... I don't see why EA would even go through the problem of redoing a contract or breaching it... it's not worth it....

There is no public knowledge of this contract you speak of. That's why all the speculation. In fact, Strategyking92 link leads me to believe there is no contract, or the BioWare senior manager would not say things like “I believe we'll be Xbox 360 exclusive for at least a short period of time”. If there was a contract, it would just be an Xbox exclusive, and that’s that.

From the sound of his interview, it sounds like they plan on working on the 360 version first, and if MS want to pay for exclusive rights, the door is open for them.

Again, just a shot in the dark guess, like everyone else here.

Doesn't sound like that at all. From this and per what the President of Bioware has stated it sounds very much like the first time around with the possibility of it coming to the PS3 sometime, big maybe. Trying to say people here have no informed clue as to what they talking about is wrong in so many ways. The writing is clearly on the wall. Doesn't matter to me however considering I have all the platforms anyway. XBL tag nonsense or not.

Hopefully they will release PC version simultaneously with X360 version because PC version was much better.

metacritic:

360     91

PC      90

All that means is that Official Xbox magazines weren't rating it and that the initial hype over the game had died down a bit. Mass Effect on the PC was superior in every single way to the Xbox 360 version.

I'm largely going to leave this thread alone.  As the mafoo has repeatedely pointed out before going on to post his opinion regardless, noone has any conclusive proof either way.

But have you seen reviews of big games lately?  The Official Xbox magazines have been uncharacteristically harsh on Xbox 360 exclusives.  This is in contrast to PS magazines that have been handing out 10's like its nobodies business.

Not in the case of Mass Effect. Scores from sites/magazines with Xbox and/or 360 in their title: 88, 90, 90, 90, 96, 98, 100, 100, 100, 100. That's 95/100, four points above the overall metarating of 91 for the 360 version of the title. I am a complete and total Bioware fanboy - I've played every game they've made since the original Baldur's Gate (and everything from Black Isle since the original Fallout). And fanboy that I am, I just about choke at the idea that Mass Effect deserves a metarating of 95. Mass Effect was a disappointment on many levels but nobody seemed to care because of the hype. The ratings it recieved should have looked a whole lot more like Assassin's Creed (another game which I loved, BTW).

Besides... why are you even bringing up Playstation magazines/sites? I'm comparing the 360 and PC versions of Mass Effect. Some idiot thought that listing a higher metarating somehow proved that the 360 version was superior and I proceeded to smack him down.

I have played, and completed, both ME for the 360 and the PC. The PC version is, without question, the better of the two.

I think the lower score is because the PC has a higher standard when it comes to RPG's.
