Not in the case of Mass Effect. Scores from sites/magazines with Xbox and/or 360 in their title: 88, 90, 90, 90, 96, 98, 100, 100, 100, 100. That's 95/100, four points above the overall metarating of 91 for the 360 version of the title. I am a complete and total Bioware fanboy - I've played every game they've made since the original Baldur's Gate (and everything from Black Isle since the original Fallout). And fanboy that I am, I just about choke at the idea that Mass Effect deserves a metarating of 95. Mass Effect was a disappointment on many levels but nobody seemed to care because of the hype. The ratings it recieved should have looked a whole lot more like Assassin's Creed (another game which I loved, BTW). Besides... why are you even bringing up Playstation magazines/sites? I'm comparing the 360 and PC versions of Mass Effect. Some idiot thought that listing a higher metarating somehow proved that the 360 version was superior and I proceeded to smack him down.

I have played, and completed, both ME for the 360 and the PC. The PC version is, without question, the better of the two.
I think the lower score is because the PC has a higher standard when it comes to RPG's.
