Forums - Sony - Sony announces Aquanaut's Holiday...

Well, re-announces, I guess.  The game was officially unveiled at least year's TGS under the title of "Aqua", and we didn't know much about it other than that it involved looking at fish...and stuff.

Anywho, Sony recently put up a new official website, which shows that the game will be released in japan on September 25 for 5,980 yen.  A release outside of Japan is as of yet uncertain, but it, along with Afrika which is hitting Japan on August 28, will probably make it over to NA/EU eventually.

Here are some screens from last year's TGS:

I like to think of the game as "Afrika: Deep Sea Edition".  :P

It would have been cool if they could have combined this and Afrika into one game, but o'well.

Looks...interesting. Could be a surprise gem or crap.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I was thinking the same with the afrika part.

Ugh.. are Sony Japan going to release anything good this generation? A looking-at-fish sim?

Really?

Endless ocean rip off?

Considering that Aqua was announced a year ago, and thus must've been ind evelopment long before hand, and considering how similar Afrika and Aqua are in concept (Afrika being a game that Sony announced three years ago), I don't think this is an Endless Ocean rip off.

i wonder if you can capture these fish and put them in an aquariam in home... lol

I'm buying this, for sure! I'm serious!!
