Well ,thats the other wonderful feature of the X360.In addition to RROD you get sometimes disc scratching.

Sorry for you guy.Try to get the console exchanged.

The guy doesn't need you pointing out unrelated problems with the 360, I'm pretty sure he is aware of the RRoD issues as they've been discussed to death several times over. The only purpose mentioning it serves is rubbing it in. If you don't have some info or kind words for the guy just be a good neighbor and don't rub salt in the wound...k? K~

It seems like some1 understands my pain... but its true, I do not have a RRoD yet, and hopefully i won't have it as my 360 is pretty new ( well 6 months old), so it shouldn't happen, unless I really do domething to screw it up

well that's no fun,,I hope you can get it sorted out but if you couldn't just sell it (the buyer doesn't know this problem)and with the money get another 360 or wii or PS3,,,which ever you like.

I would recommend buy a PS3 or upgrade your PC or a X360. Personally I would never buy a Wii.

Mabye you should get your system fixed.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

Too bad for u should either get it fixed if u have the warranty left or buy a new one.

Sounds like a hardware problem, send your xbox in and tell MS to replace your discs. I should said the same to sony, whose psp has killed over half of my 16 game collection.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive

If it's only 6 month old I'd be surprised if it was the disc drive. The disc drives are pretty good i nthe newerw models. Depending on where you bought it you want to try and do an exchange...or call MS they may swap it out for you.

If it's reading some discs, but not others, my guess would be that there's something wrong with the laser. Best case scenario, there's dust on your laser(or, if you're a smoker, smoke residue), worst case scenario, it's the beginning stage of a DRE problem(less likely). Either way, give Microsoft a ring. You should still be under warranty and this clearly isn't an issue of you abusing the system.
In the meantime, look through the instruction manual and online. I believe the PS3 has a feature, where if you hold down the power button for a certain period, the fans give off a good blow and it clears the inside of dust. Take a looksee and find out if the 360 has a similar feature. Most importantly, though, call MS. Good luck!
