Forums - Sony - Persona 4 coming out this year in the US

I don't like the look of the protagonist (P3's was cooler, plus this one looks like Serph from DDS) and the glasses thing. Yet I'm sure it will be one of my most liked games of the year

posted that because in their it mentions "full control of their party members"

thank god, that was my only annoyance with Persona 3 was how utterly retarded my party members could be sometimes. Like everyone's hurt and instead of healing everyone, Yukari just heals herself alot. Hasn't gotten me killed, but it certainly was something I had to work around >

and with that my rpg of the year has been decided....so excited.

Same here. Kinda sad that Persona 3 FES has to compete with it. Both deserve it.

What's cool is that EGM were right when they said P4 was going to be released this year, so hopefully they're also right about Persona games being made for the PSP and PS3. ATLUS FTMFW!

Great news. Most of the times, the party members did a great job at healing and knocking down the shadows, but at times they can be dumb as rocks. I agree with you about Yukari. She always got me pissed when that happened. She would use diarhan to heal herself fully, but then she would use medical power to other members when they are badly hurt. It's rare for her to use mediarama or something.

Another annoyance was when you would get knocked down by the enemy during every turn, and you never have to chance to do something.

Wow, it looks quite a bit like Persona 3.... which is a good thing, for sure!

I felt that too, Mitsuru angered me a few times when she used Diarahan instead of Mediarama/Mediarahan. At least in FES they improved that if they knock down an enemy, instead of attacking it again, they'd try to knock down the others

i agree zexon. the main character from P3 looks cooler but this one is still nice. thanks for the trailer. It looks cool. i just know i'm going to have hours of fun with this game.

on PS2. *sighs*... well, I assume all RPG lovers would be smart enough to buy a BC PS3 when chosing their next gen console

This is the first you've heard of it?

There is a Shin Megami Tensei project announced for the PS3.

However on the downside it was announced in 2005... and there hasn't been word from it since.

Whether it's canceled, delayed, or they're taking their time who can say.

Proably first finish this game while a few of them were working on porting some games to the handhels (like Devil Summoner) and working on a engine for PS3, ideas etc..

Why should they rush anyway for?

i just noticed it includes the soundtrack. thats great. I loved the music from persona 3 and the same guys are doing the music for persona 4. its gonna be a great holiday season.

Awesome. Day 1 purchase for me. Thankfully, the main character looks cooler than the scenester kid from P3, and the music looks to be top-quality again.

@ Mighty_Douche: The same guy (Shoji Meguro) does all of the music for the Megaten games. I'd rank him up with Akira Yamaoka and Mark Morgan in the "best game music guys" category.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
