Hackers Beware R4 clone will brick your NDS

Yesterday on July 3rd, The Team behind the R4 flash Card for the Nintendo DS announced that in a future update. They plan to brick Nintendo DS ‘ that are using a Clone of their popular R4 Flash card. The compnay states that they will not warn us when it will happen. They will not warrenty any bricked NDS’, Anything that happens to you NDS will be at the fault of the company that sold  you you’re clone flash card.

So If you use a R4, I would see if you could run another firmware on it, Because you never really could know if you have a clone or not.  So of these clones look spot on, but then I guess that this can all go back to someone once saying that you shouldn’t mod your systems or use non-nintendo approved periphials

To me this sounds dumb for many reasons, ok first of we have a company that makes money off selling a Flash card that helps you use pirated games on the nds. Yeah yeah Im sure many of you use them for development purpose, stop saying that. Cause  I am sure that 80 percent of you that have a r4 just got it to play pirated games. any ways back on subject. ok we have a company makeing money of flash cards, their upset cause another company is makeing Illegal versions of their cards. Seems like KARMA to me. There is loyalty amongst theves.  Time for one of those days where you put on some sad music and take a long look in the mirror.

The company that makes r4s doesn't make them anymore so I don't see the point in cloning it. Its called g6 now.

I for one use my R4 only to play some homebrew games and my own old p&c adventures (via ScummVM) on DS.

Hackers is not the correct word...
Also, I just use M3 over R4.

Also, It's not for Piracy. You can dump/download games you already have and not carry the cartdridges around, use the M3/R4 as a second copy of a game you have. Also, you can download demos, homebrew, and play NES Games on it.
