Feel free to PM me about this, or reply. Very excited about Trophies, and the fact that they can (easily) lead to PSN charts for games like SSHD that incorporate them. Again, the key component is being able to verify them in some sort of way.

Currently there is no service that compiles real-time rankings from PSN users that I'm aware of. Is there such a service for XBL? If so, how does it automatically collect and display the information online?

Yes, and the service is at www.mygamercard.net. You can pick individual games and see who in the world is leading real-time, and create custom lists. It collects data from Xbox Live as its a part of the Microsoft network.

That is correct. Every person that has an Xbox Live account has their gamercard tied to a specific location, and profile on Xbox.com, and their Passport Network service. Data (via individual cards) is accessible in real-time for users. MGC went a step further, and has every person's gamerscore (and achievements) ranked for each game, and is updated hourly. This way, if I submit my profile name (Mr Killemgood) to Mygamercard.net, my gamerscore can be tracked nearly real-time against every other person that has submitted their card - which right now is around 2.1 million Xbox Live users.

So then the question is: Does Sony, for their trophy system, have any sort of similar accessability? Is there any way I could view a players trophies, without them having to manually say "oh, I got 5 trophies on SSHD"?

That's an impressive service they offer. Let's hope that Sony implements a similar system to access trophy info as it would be great to derive some PSN sales info.
