Forums - Website Topics - Proposal: VGChartz Podcasts

Surprised this hasn't been thought of before, but I think it would be a good idea.  I wouldn't mind running it either because I have done a lot of podcasts over the last 2 years.  I know exactly how to host, edit, ect everything about it so I wouldn't mind setting all of it up.

All I would need is some willing members, and of course approval of the site management to use the name.  Discuss gaming things and of course the numbers we provide.  Usually weekly.  What yall think?  And as I said all I need is people to participate and I'll take care of everything else.

It sounds like it could be a good idea especially for the roundtable discussions or weekly wrapups here.

Yea I feel it would do better for those. Not to mention it's good fan service for the members here.

I think it should be the Real Talk that Rubang and Snake612 release.

It's a pretty good concept, I think this would be good if enough people were able to contribute. I think it would be good to do a weekly podcast primarily on sales, with some big news mixed in. It would be very easy to do an in-depth analysis.

dtewi- well they can definetly have segments in it. All I ask is that this is my baby, and that I have control over it. And I simply have a lot of experience with podcasts. Done over 20 of them, all which I've hosted. But I want a lot of members to participate including some of the site admins.

ikilledkenny- yea that's the basic premise. Mainly talk about sales, considering this is a sales site, throw in some website news, and of course talk about things in the gaming world. Really like to start this soon as well so can get some E3 discussion in it.

There is one problem.

From other major gaming sites, they release podcasts as well. Our podcast could not work because we are separated throughout the world. They work in central headquarters.

we could always talk over AIM, Skype, or something similar, and find a way to record what we're saying?

Haha trust me bro this is where I come in handy. I did one podcast with 6 people in it. One from Florida, another in Canada, another in Australia, one in Argentina, and one more in Massachusetts. Trust me podcasts don't necessarily have to be done in the same room.

Yep and I know the perfect thing that allows chatting for free and recording.  As I said I know exactly what we need to do.  All I need is admin approval and participants.
