Xbox is somewhat underrepresented in this community. I think we could do with some more Xbox fanboys to even things up.

I invite you to look at the past and present business practices of Microsoft.

OOXML vote rigging

Embrace, extend, extinguish (see also Netscape, Novell patent deal, SCO litigation funding)

Abuse of monopoly position with Software Assurance, MOUs with governments and OEM deals) and then not giving value for money (no new version of Windows in 5 years for subscribed organisation)

Making products deliberately incompatible

Undocumented APIs to lock out competitors (Internet Explorer and others)

Vista Capable stickers

Copyright/DRM deals that force it on users (Zune, Vista)

Refusing to give Windows refunds (not following own EULA)

Deals with developing countires to provide many copies of Windows/Office for verycheap prices and then raising them when the product has bevome entrenched

Use of market position to force broken formats on people and then use the monopoly time to patch then to a barely-working and not interoperable state. (see also Silverlight-HP deal, .NET/XNA/C#/SMIL, DirectX, OOXML, WMA, WMV, Vista,

Vague patent threats without taking it to court but retaining the option of doing so

Illegal bundling of Internet Explorer (US) and Windows Media Player (EU)

Various EU fines

"Get the Facts" FUD campaign

Another "Cyberspace Che Guevara"

Uhmmm, do you play any games mate? Cause when I play a game I like, I don't give a shit whether it is MS's or Sony's or Ninty's.

I don't own a PS3. I despise PS3 and Sony's behaviour against the consumers, who they treat like they're some kind of sheep herd. But, I would be blind and stupid if i didn't accept the fact that they can produce some (many) great quality games.

haha. Nicely said...

When I buy games I first think if the company donated money to charity and if they use recyclable space age material when making boxes and cd cases...only then do I think about how fun the game is. :)

Well, it definitely has tons of great games, a LOT more than PS3 without a doubt, but I'll never buy one because of the failure rate. Come on, you wouldn't buy a car or a house if there was a 1/3 chance of it breaking down or falling apart, so why a console?

LOL. The M$ hate these days is astounding. You know the public has had their mind, media fucked, when a guy from Google defends M$. I was watching a Google Developer's Conference video about making websites faster. The guy doing the speech was Steve Souders(he used to be high up in Yahoo, but then moved to Google). After the conference he took questions and sure enough some guy starts blasting M$, calling them shitty and stuff. Steve says, that yes, M$ does not comply with the standards very well yet, but that they are trail blazers. Other browsers just comply and IE tries to do different things. He made a statement that IE without all the bells and whistles runs javascript faster than all other browsers by a large margin. I instantly had a ton of respect for this man. He also uses a couple M$ sites as an example on how to do several techniques for speeding up front-end loading for web-sites.

No1 TrollHere gonna get a No1 ban outa here.

Sorry soleron, but i like videogames. And he asked why you hated the 360, not MS as a whole.

I bought it because I thought I would get a more reliable console (falcon model), and because it had the games I wanted, and came in my price range. (barely, because I couldn't buy any games for 2 or 3 months. that being christmas.)

I mostly just played arcade demos, retail game demos, looking for free stuff.  I think everyone should take some time out to cruise the xblm before they start going game crazy.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive

I like my 360, it's probably my favorite console at the moment (or at least the one that gets the most play).

It has a good library and as much as I hate most online stuff and having to talk to people, XBL is nice for keeping in touch with people and play games with them every now and then.

I think the 360 is a decent console. It would be a lot better without the RROD...but it does have some great games and a nice online setup.

I have a question for anyone who cares to answer. I know Nintendo uses their own proprietary DVD disks for the Wii, would it have been possible for Microsoft to use their own proprietary HD DVD disks on the 360? They could have used that and it wouldn't really matter if the actual HD DVD failed right?

It would have made the hardware cost more.

I love the controller, and the games library. XBLA is amazingly strong, too! There's always something compelling to play.
