I have to say, it was great! Although extremely sad... For such a short Anime... it sure does the job of having a convincing and complete story... although some things i don't get... the last episode confused me on a couple things... But If I bothered to think it out I'm sure I'd get it...

i liked elfen lied it had nice story and character, the ending was crap but almost every anime has bad ending, i feel that they know how to tell good story but don't know how to properly conclude it

I finished watching it some days ago too. It was fine... I held back before because I found it had a stupidly big amount of blood... But I got over it.

One thing I hate: Nyuu... Sorry but she annoys the hell out of me. She's always like Nyuuu nyuuu nyuuu! *Blinks* Nyuuu! UGH! >_
Anyway, I find it a tad bit overrated on the internet everyone seem to find it the best anime. I just don't get what's so great about it. Sure the story is sad but it's been told before.

I think you get mixed up with that. It's considered one of the best not the best.

Still there are tons of other animes that are very much worth the time to search for. For example GunXSword. It starts of strange as hell and confusing but, BUT, it all is pulled together in the end. Another is Area 88, which is a remake of the original 3 part short.

Still the best of the best animes is still Vampire Hunter D and Vampire Hunter D Bloodust.
