The Florida Times-Union says the man, who wasn't publicly identified, was arrested on domestic violence charges earlier this year.
"The victim said he was walking toward his vehicle and checking his phone when it all went black. He woke up in a haze with a burning chest pain," the paper says, citing a police report. "He lifted his bloody shirt and saw the letters stenciled into his stomach with a blade."
The man told police he saw one of his wife's female friends at the bar before he was attacked. No one has been charged in connection with the incident.
