To the OP. Paying for Gold is like when people pay for World of Warcraft. WOW is better than say Gulid Wars which is free per month but ou have to pay to own the game. WOW runs smoother has more features and better updates. That is because some of the monthly fee money goes back into making the game better. Same with Live. If you look at how many films, Tv shows and features with chatting to your friends are available not to mention on Live you dont get kicked out half as much as PSN, it's no surprise. The monthly pay helps a smoother operation. Have you seen the new supposed upgrades for Dashboard and Live, I mean just when Sony thought they were getting close, M$ throw themselves way back in front again. Thats what money does, way more investment into Live.

 Nope, they now have over 11 million paying gold members and another million or so who are on a free one month gold account for buying the hardware or a temporary gold status from buying a game or something.

Fact remains over 11 million people find Live gold to be worth paying for over Live silver.

Incredibly irrelevant example , just because Sony doesn't directly profit from live subscriptions doesn't mean A.The Service can't be superior (it's almost exactly the same) B .The service can't improve (which it will with the implementation of Home and other minor updates).Subscribtions are only one source of revenue for Microsoft , Sony can and does upgrade Home with other sources of revenue your argument is a non-issue.

 Ummmm its all around just better. Ive gone through both and go through both daily. Xbox live is considerably bettter then psn live. More downloads, better downloads, faster content, more content, considerably better organized. And you can download all you want for free. You only have to pay if you want to play online.

 u didnt see that 90% of demos released on PSN are delayed or don't even make it also what happend for 2.40 firmware also u cant get Insider on PSN cuz there is not enough support.. also know that there is something like insider on psn that u should pay for it about 3$ a month.

I dont care what anyone says Live is better than psn, but psn will eventually catch it especially if it keeps copying microsoft ideas... idk care though psn is free which is excellent and microsoft makes u pay but it is not much money. I like the settup better for live but ps3 stuff looks better.

No one has convinced me yet that paying for XBox Live is worth it. PSN is free and offers me more than enough for online game play and PSN is being updated regularly through patches. I do not care about downloading movies. I can get them free from Lime Wire and store them on my 500GB PC if I wanted.
I have wireless in my PS3. 360 you have to either use a cable direct from your PC or pay an extra $100 (price of two games) for WiFi. Live is also an additional $50 per year (price of a game)
