The DS is an amazing little machine. Out of any active console, handheld and PC, I would say only the DS brings us all together as gamers that are happy as opposed to the bickering snobs we usually show ourselves as. Most would agree the DS has the best available line-up, the best third party support, and just kicks a whole lot of ass. If you don't agree, I respect that, but you're wrong.

If the DS is so grand though, why do we almost never talk about it? Seven out of the eight sticky topics in the Nintendo Forum are associated with the Wii. Out of the other 22 hot topics on page one as I'm typing, 17 are Wii related, 3 are DS related and 2 are about both.

Anyone have any thoughts on the matter? Does the DS make us all too happy to discuss it? Are the real DS players too busy playing their gift from God to bother with these forums? This is without a doubt, the summer of the DS and all anyone can talk about in here is the Wii and whatever scrappings it's picked up this week.

Because the DS's huge wave of popularity has come and gone. It's a 4 year old console. The Wii is new, hip, and it's already beginning to rule the world. Besides, not everyone likes handhelds. A lot of people own a DS but that doesn't mean it's at the front of everyone's mind.

The DS and PSP have been around for longer than any of the 7th gen systems, so the excitement after their launches has long faded. That doesn't mean there isn't news about them, just that the news has to be pretty good, like well, CHRONO TRIGGER!

You have anything intersting to say about those games? Most seem pretty average and even the good ones won't make for a good discussion.

It really can. Once something has been established enough that it gets monumental amounts of quality support from all angles, that is the time to stop talking about it. I hope people are at least playing the damn thing.

I'm 28 years old and for me, the DS has been the best console of my life. I tried everything since NES, Atari, PS... and for me everyone has to own one DS at house.
If the graphics and sound were better, it would be perfect.

The games that I loved during these 3 years are:
Taiko no Tatsujin, The world ends with you, Chocobo DS, NSMB, Animal Crossing, Dementium, Wario Ware, Picross, Trauma Center, Phoenix Wright series, Jump Ultimate Stars, Dragon Quest Monsters and Rocket Slime, FF XII Revenant Wings, Nintendogs, Metroid Pinball, Daigassou Band DX, Deep Labyrinth, English Training, Prof Layton,... There are so many more..

I prefer to see gameplay videos, pictures of the game without reading the reviews . Surely, i see the scores given by websites but I have to see how to play it first before buying it.
By example, Deep Labyrinth DS got a 4.5/10 on IGN and I loved + finished the game.
