Forums - General - Who are you going to vote for/would for if you could?

At the moment... Mccain.

The funny part is they have the same stances on MOST issues... even including Iraq if you listen to what Obama actually says about it. He doesn't plan to abandon Iraq. He wants to pull out of Iraq to see if the Iraqi army stands up on it's own... because to parphrase "Iraq is being lazy because we're there" and if it doesn't he'll put the troops right back there and do basically the same as McCain or anybody else.

The two things that decide it for me... The enviroment and Tax Laws.

Obama's energy plan relies on ethanol which is actually worse then regular gas when you take everything into account such as the gas it takes to make the corn and ehtanol and how much it lowers your gas mileage.

Tax Laws. Obama's "Windfall profit" tax idea is just ridculiously stupid. If you want to raise the taxes on higher end buisnesses revenue... go nuts.

But profit? That's stupid. If they're profiteering... close the loophole. Don't make a tax on profit. Taxes on profit are just a bad idea.

The thought of a Pro-life Supereme court judge retiring worries me... but the Democrats will have control of congress so they should be able to stymie that... assuming they ever do anything.  I remember when they said they were going to stop the "do nothing" days of congress...

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I could be rebellious and vote for the person who's bound to lose (McCain) or I could go with the crowd and vote for the person who's bound to win (Obama). It's definitely a tough choice, since I've always liked to be a rebel. This is what I'm going to base my voting decisions off of.

Obama...but if another candidate chooses Ralph Wiggum for VP he/she has my vote.

You never know who's gonna win. I mean, Obama's African American, and some of Hilary's voters said they never vote for him because of that.

Uhh, no. A lot of Hillary supporters won't vote for Obama because he's a man and they're stuck up. Obama has clearly demonstrated that the country will vote for a black man, or a woman, or a Catholic, and even a Mormon (strange that that is considered the most exotic one).

It's pretty obvious that Obama will win. He's better looking and he's good at speeches when told what to say. That's all that really matters in this country so the race may as well just be handed to him right now.

Obama.. I just have to figure out which state I'm voting in.

if i could vote it would be Obama.
