Forums - General - Real Talk with Snake612: July 3, 2008

Welcome to the July 3rd edition of Real Talk with Snake612. I'm posting the show today cause i won't be able to

post it tomorrow. Today on the show I will be doing something I've never done before and that's talk about things

beyond gaming. Every week not only will I be talking about games, but upcoming films, music and more stuff. First

I will Talk about Rock Band 2.

Rock Band 2

Developers from Harmonix announced two days ago that they will be releasing Rock Band 2 this Fall.

Lead Designer Dan Teasdale recently had interview with IGN on the what to expect from Rock Band 2.

This is courtesy of IGN:

IGN: The most important question. Will Rock Band 1 DLC be playable in Rock Band 2?

Dan Teasdale:
Yes. We've been developing Rock Band as a music platform from the start. All of the songs that you've purchased so far (and will be able to purchase in the future) are instantly playable and fully supported in Rock Band 2. We've even added some cool new features that let you play your DLC in different ways, which I think people will be very excited to get their hands on.
IGN: Once RB2 is out, can you still download and play new tracks on RB1?

Teasdale:
Absolutely! We've been working hard with Microsoft and Sony to develop a way to share content between games, and we're really happy that we'll be the first game to support fully functional cross-title DLC.

As far as Harmonix is concerned, there's no difference between "Rock Band 1 DLC" and "Rock Band 2 DLC" – we're just releasing awesome songs every week onto the Rock Band platform, all of which are playable by the Rock Band titles that support DLC.

IGN: Some people are going to ask, why even buy RB2 if you can keep enjoying DLC on RB1? I'm one of those people. So, what's the hook that will make me want to spend $60 on a new game disc?

Teasdale:
At Harmonix, we have a very clear method for making games – we innovate, then we perfect. With Rock Band, we innovated by being the first full band game that you can play in your living room or online.

Rock Band 2 takes all the lessons we've learned from making a multi-instrument music game, addresses them, then adds some amazing new ways for you to experience your music library that have never been seen in a music game before. We've been scouring forums and parties everywhere for what people liked and didn't like, and I'm pretty confident we've addressed everything I've heard people ask for.

On that note, we've also secured what I can easily say is the best setlist I've ever seen in a music game. The PR team would kill me if I revealed some early, but it reads like a who's who list of rock music. We have a couple of surprises that we'll be announcing soon regarding this.

Rock Band 2 really is the ultimate rock experience, and I think people will find it hard going back to the original Rock Band after playing Rock Band 2 for a few minutes.

That's all I'm give you of on that interview. to read the rest of interview go to this link

Real Talk: Rock Band 2 seems like it going to be a great game and great foloow up from the first one. It's great that when you get Rock Band 2, all your previous track will be reloaded into your song list without re-downloaded it. Rock Band 2 downloadable seems to be a great feature to the game. it looks like Harmonix will be working hard this game.

Rock Band 2: The Opening Act will be released on the 360 and PS3 this September.

Next I will be talking about why I think E32008 will be great. E3 this year is going to be great for all gamers this year. The games I'm mostly excited about is Tekken 6 and God of War III. Hopefully they'll release a trailer for God Of War III. Also, i been waiting to hear news on Tekken 6. I haven't heard any news on Tekken 6. At E3, i'm expecting to hear a lot of news on this game like if there are new characters, new features, online, and to find out the release date for this game. Be sure to check out  Real Talk with Snake 612: E3 Edition on July 17,2008.

Next I will be discussing The highly anticpated film the Dark Knight.

So far at this point IronMan is the hottest superhero film of the summer. However when Dark Knight is released, I believe it will break box office records.

The Dark Knight is a sequel to the 2005 box office hit, Batman Begins. The plot of this film is Batman is challenged by a mysterious criminal mastermind known as the Joker. Batman struggles with the Joker becomes deeply personal and forces Batman to confront everything he believes. The Joker is potrayed by the late actor Heath Ledger. The Dark Knight was the final film Heath Ledger finished. The Film is dedicated in his memory.

Real talk: This movie is going the blockbuster of the film. I'm a huge fan of the Batman film. This film shows Heath Ledger at his very best. He will be remembered for his greta talent. I defintely recommend that everyone should go see this film. Can't wait until this movie comes out.

The Dark Knight flies into Theaters July 18. It will be in theaters July 16 in Australia.

Here's a trailer of the highly anticpated film ( the video is on my other forum)

Now, i'll be talking giving you my top 2 albums I think are doing great on the billboard charts.

1) Tha Carter III by Lil Wayne: The album lived up to its hype.

My favorite tracks : A Milli, Lollipop, Mr. Carter, and Lollipop Remix

2) Viva la Vida by Coldplay " Awesome album and a great group. Coldplay rocks!

My favorite tracks: Viva la Vida and Violent Hill

That's all for this week. I apologize for not having much to talk about this week. This week and last week has been a slow weeks for gaming in my opinion. It will be faster the time around E3 2008 and in the fall with the releases of Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, Gears of War 2 and other games. Thank you for eveyone reading my post. Special Thanks to The Ghost of RubangB and elfege02. See yall next week.

Now That's REAL!!!

Edit both together. It is pretty damn annoying. You don't need two threads.

Rock Band 2 isn't coming to PS3 in september.

Also, This "real Talk" is all over the place. You stay on subject for two seconds, then move on. I'll wait until Rubang's real talk, that way I won't feel like I just participated in this waste of server space.

I agree with DMeister.

It is very unprofessional and horrible looking. I honestly could not read it since it was so messy.

You see how I am making line breaks to signify a new topic? You should do that but make it more prominent.

TBH, I think Rubang should handle the E3 RealTalk.

i will handle the e3 real talk. Its my idea in the first place so its only fair. There is going to be times when my threads are not good. They can't always be perfect. I work my ass off on the E3 Edition of Real Talk.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

i cant handle two versions, it's either you guys do it together or one of them is voted off.

So far, you have only gotten 6 replies, and they were of me and DMeister.

Rubang has more respect. More will come. It may have been your idea, bur Rubang can execute it better.
