Now I know these threads are stupid and I know that fanboys will vote for their own. So why the thread? People claim that the PS3 is trouncing the 360 in graphics now, when in reality (from what I've seen) it's very subjective. Does better graphics mean what the end result is on screen, regardless of size of game world and technical ability? Or does it matter that there are more polygons even if it looks worse. Well you decide.

All these videos are from Youtube why? To make it even with resolution and source. Also there should be no-one saying that it's not fair because it doesnt do the game justice. It's the same for all the games. All videos are the same size. 350 by 280. Thats because Youtube vids suck any bigger.

Here's the problem with that:

Say you and I want to compare numbers. I choose the number 200 and you choose the number 150. They're pretty far apart, by 50 in fact. Now, let's divide them by 25. I now have 8 and you now have 6. Oh wow, they're only 2 apart now. That's pretty close together eh?

We all know that neither system is clearly head and shoulders above than the other (otherwise there wouldn't be so many arguments much like how no one claims the Wii has better graphics than the PS360). The differences people are really looking for aren't going to be present when you remove 60% of the video quality or at best they'll be almost unnoticeable. There has to a staggeringly large difference to begin with (like between the PS360 and PS1) if you really want to compare quality with such poor videos.

^^I agree with the fact that there would not even be a discussion if it was completely obvious.

Cut-scenes are youthless for these kind of comparisons.

I agree with the Word of wisdom that watching bad quality clips isn't the best way to judge which game looks better. That said, of the two gameplay vids MGS4 looked a little better (although that punk ass Snake wouldn't move much in that scene).
