Tomb Raider Legend made me rekindle my love afffair with Lara Croft. Samus has always been my favorite female playable, but the first person view in the Metroid Prime series has done a lot to detract from her already lacking personality. A third person Samus would put her back on top of my list. Lucca (Chrono Trigger), Carla Valenti (Indigo Prophecy), and Amy Shephard (Mass Effect -I prefer my Shephard with boobs), round out the top 5.
