Forums - General - Recharging batteries using different brand of charger okay?

Is there a risk or hazzard of anything if i stuff a different brand battery into a different brand charger?

For example, Eneloop battery in Duracell charger?

Depend on the Battery and Charger. I'm using different battery and charger, and it works fine for me.

I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.

Currently playing: Super Smash Brothers Brawl(Wii), Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer(DS), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS), WiiFit(Wii)

Games Recently Beaten: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Normal; Very Hard after the next DLCs become available)

No none at all... otherwise there would have been a trillion lawsuits in North America...

No, brands don't matter, only the battery type does.

If the Eneloop is the same type of battery as the Duracell charger is made for, then it is fine. So if the Charger handles Ni-MH, but not Ni-Cd, and you stick in some Ni-Cd batteries, then you are at risk of fire. Also, voltage and capacity also matter.

Odds are you will be fine, since most rechargeable AA batteries are all Ni-MH, but check the batteries to determine if they are compatible.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
