But it stops someone like me, a high ranked player, from being able to play on a regular bases. Keep in mind that the whole point of this is fun. How is it fun if you have a really limited number of people you can play with? It would get stale very quickly. We should leave it they it is. That way more people can play each other.

I thought it was about competition and earning respect? =P

This ranking isn't serious, it even started out with one person's opinion.
People shouldn't take the rankings as gospel.
It might be a bit serious, but as Riot has said, this ranking system is about fun.
Maybe someday a serious ranking system which starts out with a round robin tourney to determine ranks will pop up. But til then let them have their fun. ^_^

You act like you don't play matches outside of this league.

You didn't have fun in the Brawls with me, Wasu, and Enigma earlier?

Cool one of my friends is ranked higher than sagemoon on the allisbrawl ladder.

i see everyone beat me to the whole "stale" concern.

@ WoW. why are you so concerned about a league you don't play in?

Because it's entertaining to watch.  I was really excited about the match between Tao and Sir Pit.  Now I'd really like to see the results of a few more but it looks like Sir Pit will just skip them.

Actually. I agree with WoW on one point. At one point in the league, skipping someone should only be allowed in specific instances, such as extreme lag (to the point of watching a slideshow type) or opponents on hiatus. If not 5, at least the top 3.

I'd personally prefer it if people only skipped because they had to, not because they want to.

As for the 'for fun' comment. All leagues are made for competitive natures. Competition can be fun but I can assure you people are (or should) be playing to win during this league, and not just for fun. Friendlies are for fun. However, due to the nature of online. Online leagues are slightly less competitive then offlines. People don't play the same online as they do offline. They can emulate themselves, but there will be differences.

How about we do this. We take a vote on how the rankings should work. either vote ladder challenge or point system. If the majority votes goes to point system then Ivo takes over my position of the rankings(since he knows about point system and I don't). If not, we keep it like it is. But the only ones who can vote are the ones that are active in the league already. It's not fair to have people vote in a league that they don't even play in.

Should be noted that if we go with points, it will be a scheduled biweekly online tournament. Most likely on Sundays, as most offline tournaments are on Fridays and Saturdays. It would also take a few hours (depending on the number or people), so people would actually have to make time for it.
