Honestly the japanese voices is the most important information I've heard for me buying the game. I couldn't possibly have played it if I had to listen to the utter jackassery that is Naruto dubbed in English.

Actually the English version of Naruto is done fairly well. Not FMP or Bebop well, but decent none-the-less.

The problem is that Naruto's VA is supposed to be annoying (it's part of his character) which is something that both the Japanese and English VA's both do quite well. The sad part is that so many people listen to him and think "Oh gosh is he ever annoying" and fail to realize that's the point. -_-

My main problem with the English VA is "Believe it!" Other than that it's fine, and to be fair around episode 80 of the dub they started getting rid of the phrase, and now it's gone almost completely. Making the English VAs acceptible, but still worse than the Japanese.

Reallyttebayo?  Are you surettebayo that it was suchttebayo a bad thingttebayo?  Didttebayo you watch thettebayo Japanese versionttebayo?

Yeah, Naruto loosk awesome.
As i said long tiem ago, THAT what i call a NEXTGEN.

Though, i like how Tales of Vesperia looks, not as good as Naruto, but also reminds anime. :)

The bad thing, Naruto probably won`t have online support.. unless later with DLC like Tekken5:DR.. But still, from must have game, absense of online makes this game between must have and must play.

Every 5 seconds on earth one child dies from hunger...

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

Wow, And everyone always tells me Cell-Shaded Graphics suck.

Too Bad I don't have a PS3 though...

BUT, If the trend of Ultimate Ninja special attacks continues, I expect too many crazy made-up attacks that have nothing to do with the anime/manga. I like the graphics in this better, but the attacks stray way too far off. GNT/CON has Special Attacks more true to the manga/anime.

(ex: last Ultimate Ninja game had Kakashi flying around like a super saiyan as his special attack...)

All in all though, It still looks like a great game... If only It was also for 360...

Oh come on, it was never that bad, and like "Believe it" it was reduced with time.

I think the problem with Naruto was Naruto... and Sasuke... and Sakura.

Aside from those 3 the characters ruled... the only problem being.... those 3 were the main characters.

You don't catch it as much in japanese because you don't know what they're saying.

Reminder: Demo tomorrow (for those that buy Qore) for those that are interested.

Anyone who thinks the English voices are bad have never heard the Japanese voices. Often times bad dubs are so common place that people believe the voices are worse even when they're better. No offense, but Japanese voice actors must have very little talent since it seems that almost all Japanese voices from Naruto to Sonic the Hedgehog sound exactly the same.

Hell, if you watch the Japanese Naruto and listen to the Japanese voices in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, below is a pretty safe assumption:

Naruto=Sonic

Sasuke=Shadow

Sakura=Amy (or Rouge, haven't listened to the voices in a while)

Besides that, I was watching one of the trailers wherein Kakashi does the Chidori, stabs Naruto in the chest with it, then flings him up in the air and stabs him several more times until slamming him into the ground (or something along those lines). And it took up about 1/5 of Naruto's healthbar.

Not that I'm complaining, just interesting.

If you think all japanese voices sound the same you really have no understanding of the language, and yeah, 99% of the time the Japanese voices are far better.  The only time I can ever think of English voice actors actually improving on the Japanese was Spirited Away, where they actually added something to the movie.  There are a couple times it was equal (which WoW mentioned above), but no other times it was better.

On the specials: They mentioned in an interview a while back that they didn't want people to wint he game on just special attacks.  It takes all skill out of the game.
