It's confirmed, despite the lack of scans. The guy who said it is the same guy who gave out the CT:DS info. He says it looks really bad though, and not to get excited for it...

Suikoden games were never focused on visuals.
Suikoden made it's fans through its plot.
They could make the game in 2d and the fans wouldn't mind.

I don't know man. Suikoden 4 was pretty horrible. Lets hope Suikoden 6's plot is more like Suikoden 2 and 3.

but... people pay money for psp games? i dont think so.

Suikoden V was fun, I wouldn't mind seeing the next one on PSP. But I'd prefer to see it in HD. On my PS3.

Currently playing: Marvel vs. Capcom 3, League of Legends

If the new Suikoden game is going to come out on any system, it is going to have to be on DS or PSP. Putting it on any other system will be Suicide.

The Suikoden series has always been a medium to low budget RPG series pretending to compete with larger series such as Final Fantasy and Tales. If they try to do this now, when their series is practically dead and on life support, they will be crushed. They need to do like most series are doing and go for the heart of the Japanese fanbase, the DS. The win/win for this scenario is you also get MUCH lower development costs over any other console (or even the PSP) and any profit made is much higher.

Why do you think the last Suikoden game was on the DS? Even if it was just a quickly made Suikoden side game, it was still made on the DS because it was their only choice. Heck, their last 5 games were all for consoles on the PS2. Now they've exhausted their choices (and brand) to only one choice. They need to stop trying to make weak Final Fantasy imitations (Suikoden IV and V) and side games (Suikdoen Tactics, Tierkreis) and just focus on one really good effort on the DS. If Konami really listened to their fanbase, or what's left of the Suikoden fanbase, they'd make a game similar to the style and design of Suikoden II for the DS.

Six upcoming games you should look into:
