Forums - Nintendo - High Voltage - we would love a Conduit sequel

Cool but let's think about the first one haha. Most games that sell well or get popular usually get a sequel, so it's not surprising they are thinking about a series. But make the first one good, get good advertising, and sell like crazy. Then a sequel is justifiable.

Sequel already? Does that mean it's going to be like Too Human where the game ends in a cliffhanger (per reports)? I hate it when developers do this.

I agree.

If you want to defeat the argument " Third party games don't sell."
How will getting Nintendo to take a large role in the matter of one of the system's major upcoming titles?

Oh it ships in 9 months. That means april of next year.

Is High voltage just too over confident right now to make a sequel for a game thats yet to published and release? Why even make a sequel? High voltage isnt even sure if The Conduit is profitable or not...

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

If you read the interview they were asked about it. They said it depended on sales.

"TVGB: Was that talk of a sequel I heard?

MC: We are anticipating no fewer than 30 Conduits. (laughs)

EN: We would like to see a sequel we’ve got enough story in this and enough ideas that we can take this for a long time to come. But of course the market is going to determine sequels.

MC: We’re building a brand with The Conduit and we want to make it better with every version if it happens."

No way is that ingame.  Either that's a cinematic or concept art rendered.  I love the Wii but let's not kid ourselves and pretend that could be ingame.
