ROFLOL...anything to get people to buy into the hype...that $1.5 Bln Sony is expecting to lose in 2008 is looking to get bigger by the day.
@BKK2
it will sell their T.V.s
Maybe Microsoft can pay Samsung millions of dollars to do this.

Now that would make more sense than Samsung just giving it away with their TVs, maybe a deal between Microsoft and Samsung could get this done.

The point of the promotion is to promote "Full HD" ie 1080p TV sales. Most 1080p content is on Blu-ray, now that HD-DVD has been discontinued there would be little point bundling a 360 as the only 1080p content it has is a handful of games.
Why would Microsoft pay Samsung millions of dollars to give away their consoles? That's just silly.

No they won't. It took Sony MONTHS to get the last batch of free promotional PS3's out there and to my knowledge they are not all in the hands of customers yet.
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS
But if Sony gives it away then they didn't sell it. So that doesn't count in sales. Just saying right. Because a retailer isn't selling it to a consumer it wouldn't be tracked by our guys nor it should. Will show up in shipment numbers maybe because Sony has to include it in their finance report.
