You already have DMC4, SF4, Lost Planet, Bionic Commando, RE5...they're not coming to the Wii (well, SF4 and possibly BC might but none are confirmed now...). You get 5 big games. 5. 5. 5. What big Capcom games are on the Wii? MH3...and Spyborgs (it doesn't matter what anyone says, this is a big game). I bet it would sell better on the Wii than XBLA/PSN anyway - Wii owners seem to be older than the targeted PS/360 demographic (15-17 year olds pretty much) which means a lot of Wii owners could've enjoyed Megaman back then. |

Yesterday, there was news that Mega Man 9 would also be XBLA and PSN as well as Wii Ware, now it's looking like it's "WiiWare only" again. Sheesh. It could be that MM9 is still planned for WiiWare first and may eventually make it's way to XBLA and PSN. So, if you Nintendo boys want it to remain exclusive, you'd better pony up the dough when it launches on Nintendo's service.
However, Soriku, I believe you're on to something when you say that Xbox360/PS3 owners (maybe just the fanboy types) simply don't want popular series exclusives on the Wii. There seems to be this underlying population of gamers who want nothing more than for the Wii to not be considered a serious gaming machine. Which is sad because when you get right down to it, it's the one of the current flock of consoles that is the most dedicated to gaming in a myriad of forms. No downloading TV shows, no playing movies, no needless multi-media gimmicks. Aside from the News and Weather Channels, the system is essentially 100% dedicated to gaming. There are well over 200 downloadable games (more depending on where you live) on the system--more than Xbox360 or PS3, and it's the only system that is at least partially dedicated to nostalgia gaming. Once devs start cranking out AAA titles (with proper budgets and solid advertising) and Nintendo gets us that HDD solution, it will prove itself as the best possible gaming-focused machine. Microsoft spent too much time trying to sell us a dedicated PC that could play games in High-Def and Sony spent too much time trying to sell us a Blu-Ray player "that could also play video games." Nintendo started selling the Wii as a game machine, and kept at it.
