For the Quarter ending Jun 2008, below are my predictions.

PS2 Hardware = 2.15 Million Units

PSP Hardware = 3.65 Million Units

PS3 Hardware = 2.50 Million Units

PS2 Software = 21.5 Million Units

PSP Software = 16.0 Million Units

PS3 Software = 19.5 Million Units

Projected Revenue:  2.650 to 2.850 Billion Dollars

Projected Income: Loss of 50 Million Dollars to Profit of 15 Million Dollars

What are your projections?

These earning release will be reported by Sony around mid July I think.

mid-july? I hope so, but last quarter's earnings were really late, i mean they came in may but should have came 4 weeks earlier.

 It's all about the revenue.

Will they profit again?

Did they profit last quarter? Or was that that the quarter before? I know they profited like 113 million or something one quarter, but I think it was over the holidays.

I say they'll profit 50-100 million. They sold a hell of a lot of software between MGS4 and GTAIV, and I'm sure their hardware costs have only been going down.

I based the small profit on assumed cost reductions for the PS3. That is they are losing less money per console now.

They made money in Q3 FY 2007 - 113 Million - that is the Holiday Quarter

But that quarter they sold double the amounts of PS2 and PSP - which probably offset losses in the PS3 division.

Yes, they would sell more PS3, but I've taken into account that the PS3 is losing much less now, compared to previous quarters.

Therefore, the overall loss is not as great or maybe a small profit, due to PS2 and PSP.

 These gains are being offset by decreasing profit from the PS2, however.

I think they're nearing the break even point. I'd say 50 million dollar loss.

They profited in the holiday quarter... I don't think they have the ability to profit on slower quarters yet.
