Okay, I'm 2.5 hours into the game and I barely feel like I've played much. Every time I get to do something, it seems like 5 minutes later I'm in a cutscene or have to bear through some corny dialogue. Then there's my sidekick who seems to always know what's best for me. Could he have a more annoying voice? Does he always have to butt in and tell me what to do all the time? Don't get me wrong, I don't hate cutscenes. But what's with all the melodrama and cliche? Haven't I heard this story before?
What I'm really wondering about is why this game always gets a free pass from gamers and the press alike?
Can you guys shed some light on this issue and also throw some guesses out there for what game I'm playing?
My Top 5:
Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger
My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3
and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.
