For some reason I am not expecting much on Wii at E3. I have been disappointed so many times I am not going to get my hopes up. If Nintendo and/or 3rd parties announce alot I will be very pleased and excited. If nothing gets announced then at least my hopes won't have been dashed.

Honestly, I'm not as interested in Nintendo's E3 as I am Sony's and especially Microsoft's. Their response to Nintendo's dominance is sure to be entertaining and cause multiple forum meltdowns if not the explosion of the entire internet.

I expect from Nintendo

1.-announce some classic core games to aplease all those that keep saying that "Nintendo forgot them"
2.-a surprise game or two (zelda? I hope so!)
3.-a new mainstream game like Wii music or anything else

I expect from Microsoft and sony:

1.-show trailers from expected hardcore games
2.-I do think they will show the wii mote clone.

Honestly, I am more interested in 3d parties but there will be very few there :/

If Nintendo makes a strong showing with some core games and maybe even 1 or 2 new casual games to keep the mainstream love coming and Sony/MS blunder with wiimote ripoffs that don't come off too well then E3 08 could be yet another nail in the coffin but E3 06 was huge.  Nintendo blew everybody away and Sony became the laughing stock of the industry.  They've done well to recover since then but their image took a big hit.

Personally I don't think the wiimote 'ripoffs' will neccessarily bomb.  More important than how they turn out will be if they're implemented in games at E3.  They need to show how it already works and works well for certain games.

LOL yes there are western developed third-party games announced for the Wii. Just not many good ones. There will be more after E3. I think its just weird how positive the situation is painted by some of you:

At the moment they are hardly myths, the Wii's lineup is by far the worst of the three consoles. First party and especially third-party. Let's see after E3

PS: Regarding CoD5, first its Treyarch so it will most likely suck on all platforms. and second: Yes the developers say it will be great on the Wii. Big surprise. I think they have said that of every multiplatform game in existance. Let's see some footage first.

Wait did you say first party and third party?  It's fine to argue over the Wii's third party lineup but it has without a doubt the best first party lineup in the industry.  What MS/Sony developed titles can compete with Nintendo's own lineup of SMG/Zelda/MK:Wii/WiiFit/etc...

Let me clarify my statement: Its future lineup. They already used all of their biggest franchise. They will need a strong E3 showing to compete with MS and Sony.

Disclaimer: And yes they would even outsell Ps3 and 360 if they only release Wii Fishing and Wii watch grass growing. I am not disputing that

Kyros is just the normal troll. Saying the Wii has the worst 1st party lineup is like saying the Iphone sucks compared to the plugandplay or Vii. Total bull.

The Wii will have the best 1st party lineup this gen no questions about it! Now, the 3rd party lineup needs help. It will get that help though. I mean, the Wii's userbase makes the 360's and Ps3's look like child's play. (i never thought I would be defending a Nintendo console before as I was a Sony only fan before now.)
