Um firstly nintendo has the rights to ED so anybody could do ED2. Secondly isn't factor 5 suppose to be doing kid icarus like everybody is saying. Why can't silicon knights do ED2? What is wrong with them? They said they were interested in developing Wii games.

@Claude I guess so, but aren't they working on two games? Why can't they do a donkey kong game and then a new ip. Now that I think of it though two new Ips would be better than a donkey kong game that could suck and a new ip.

Well I have no idea if Nintendo wholly owns the rights. All I know is they have a share. Next Factor 5 is only rumored to be doing Kid Icarus on Wii. This isn't confirmed. They are creating a Wii project, however. And finally Silicon Knights can't be doing ED2 because they are so tied up with all the bullshit around Too Human that they just can't. not a large enough team and not enough time to work on 2 projects at once. If SK does ED2 for anything, it won't be out til we hit the 10s of this century.

I'm not denying Retro Studios could do ED2, but it's not something that I see probable right now.

I know it isn't confirmed, but I'm just saying about 3/4ths of the forum are saying that they are doing kid icarus. Also As far as I know too human should be done this year. Now they said it will be a trilogy, but I doubt they will focus all on too human. I'm pretty sure they could handle two games. Actually they already announced another wii,ps3,360 multiplat psychological thriller. Now it can't be Eternal Darkness unless nintendo let them, but it could be something new. So I'm pretty sure since nintendo will be publishing the game, and nintendo asked them to do it they would say yes.

Well we know it can't be ED then, because nintendo doesn't loan out there properties to other consoles haha. Remember the whole G007 thing right.

And alright I guess Nintendo owns it. I actually didn't know that. I mean I guess it's possible Nintendo will use the property down the line, possibly soon, but who knows.

Yeah, well new ips are what retro probably should do. Maybe an action-adventure, since they are experienced with the genre, and a Fps(since MP has similar traits to fps'). We know there are at least two games coming from them.
