*Meekly*

I...I...liked it.

I think with a game with such hype, it's hard to please everyone. I'm sorry, i wouldnt compare saint row with GTA yet, looking fun is hardly an excuse to bash the merit of a great game.

I expect Saint Row to be what Blitz was to Madden, FUN WITH NO SUBSTANCE  which equals to rental to me.

As opposed to lots of substance but no fun?  Come on, what made GTA fun is that they didn't over-develop the plot and instead emphasized the freedom and gameplay diversity.  GTAIV is not that game. It's not GTA.  It has no right to call itself GTA.

why not, it was an great experience and the begining was slow, but once the game got rolling, its just as good as any GTA game. The problem is, we expected too much with so many reviewers giving it a 10.

I hear people talking about san andreas, yet i heard all kind of complaints when that was released as well. btw, it was just an ugly looking game on the consoles.

Unless there's some magical mystery achievement that unlocks the enormous list of missing features I posted up there, there's no way it's any better later in the game than it was in the 10 hours I've played of it.  People complained about San Andreas's lack of humor, but they never complained about a lack of content.  Lack of content in GTA is a ridiculous problem.

This game is a mockery of the franchise. It's not a bad game for what it is, but it's a very bad GTA game.  What it is is a practically linear third person shooter.  You ever played Metroid Prime Hunters?  It was a good first person shooter, but a horrible Metroid game.  This is the Metroid Prime Hunters of GTA, and yeah, I'm pissed about it.

How long before the next one? this franchise is getting old quickly by the look of the new games i see coming up. But keep playing it, Naz.

I think the story was good but that was it.
Way too realistic with the flying out of car windows. Dates are boring.
No country side like in San Andreas.
GTA is getting old.
@naznatips
No Saints Row 2 just looks horrible like the first one.

I have begun to just completely ignore the social aspect of the game. I haven't gone on a social outing in quite some time. I actually feel like I'm forcing myself to play the game just to be able to say I finished it.

That describes my feelings about the game almost perfectly.

Hates Nomura.

I like GT4's story line the most out of the series.

the city based on NYC is a big plus (I'm from NYC)..

Every GTA for me was fun at the beginning, and pretty much bored at the end.
The missions are too repetitive after hours of playing....same for all the GTAs.

Overall it's still a good game, but didn't live up to the hype.

nope, great game, great story.

I was thinking of linking to that video of Saints Row 2, but I see I was beat to it. I know this is a bit off topic, but does anyone actually put there real birthday into those "age locked" things? I just go to the year selection, randomly scroll down and click.

I was disappointed as well. Just can't seem to "get into" the game. I'd say the turn off is that it doesn't make me laugh like the previous ones did (especially displeased with Nico, I don't like him). Though this could be an age thing (I'm getting old...).

I like the car handling though...
